This new full colour wheel has been developed by the Early Years and Community Services team with local NHS practitioners.

Like our other wheels, this version twists around to reveal the section you need, which in the case of this wheel is with regards to the stages of pregnancy from week 0 (the date of your last period) through to birth. It has information on both sides, with one side showing the babies development and the other side covering key developments. There is also a picture in each of the nine sections to help show the babies development.
Key developments cover how the baby is forming, what you as a 'mum-to-be' might notice and some of the things that it might to time to consider for each stage of the pregnancy. Section one is from week zero to week eight and the last section is from 36 weeks through to birth, with the other seven sections covering the twenty eight weeks in between.

Measuring approx 230mm in diameter, these wheels are easy to carry around and come laminated for a longer lifespan. The back also has a useful addition with a calendar to enable you to count the weeks of your pregnancy and a ruler to give an idea of the babies measurements as detailed in the various sections of this wheel.

Organisations/authorities can buy the wheels in bulk or they can be purchased individually. There are significant savings for larger bulk purchases (2000+) and these can be 'customised' with your logo and other details (see blue column below). These 'customised' wheels would 'brand' the publication for use in your own community (for instance you may wish to have copies in each of your children's centres or to give to 'mums-to-be'). This 'customised' option offers authorities and other organisations the chance to save on the costs associated with the development and production of a new item like this, because all of the set up work has been done in terms of copywriting and editing, design, artwork, proofing and even the cutter guides to produce the wheel and rivet it together.

For organisations/authorities wishing to commission larger bulk 'customised' copies, discounts apply and your wheels will cost much less than the retail price of £2.99. Your wheels will be 'customised' by tailoring the back of the wheels with your own logo, contact details and colour scheme as per the samples shown here for Lancashire and Rutland Councils. Delivery/schedule notice: We will always try to meet your needs in every way we can, but 'customised wheels' can take at least four working weeks to produce following the approval of your artwork. This is due to the complex manufacturing process, part of which is done manually to construct the wheels. In busy periods (such as Feb - April during the government financial year end) and for large quantities, production can take longer. Please therefore build in plenty of time in your schedule of needs to ensure we can meet your timescales. Sometimes we can get things done a bit quicker and we will always try, but the product is of a complex construction.

Hanging your wheels - Our Development Wheels^™ come with two rivets in them to hold them together and ensure they work properly. One rivet is in the centre of the wheels and the other is near the top of the 'outer' of the wheel. Many customers are now 'hanging' wheels within the reception area of their centres or settings and you can order your kit to do this with your order. Each kit comes with a self-adhesive plastic 'hook' and a flexible wire which can stretch up to 3.5 metres long. Either order online when you buy your wheels or add these to your order form when you buy. Kits are only £1 each (inc delivery) + vat.
